VOLUNTEER AUTHORIZATION & CONSENT
All coaches are required to register as volunteers, and complete a Background Check Volunteer form. Please read the following information:
"During the application process and at any time during the tenure of my volunteer service with the Soccer Association for Youth of San Antonio, I hereby authorize First Advantage, on behalf of the Soccer Association for Youth of San Antonio, to procure a consumer report which I understand may include my personal information. The report may be compiled with information from courts record repositories, departments of motor vehicles, and any other source required to verify information that I have voluntarily supplied. I understand that I may request a complete and accurate disclosure of the nature and scope of the background verification."
By completing the Background Check Volunteer form, you are acknowledging the information you just read above.
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER (SSN) DISCLOSURE
Disclosure of your SSN is requested for the purpose of verifying your identity and along with other personal information supplied by you, will be used to conduct a criminal background check. Failure to provide your SSN and other required information will result in delays in processing your application, and may prohibit you from volunteering with our league.

BACKGROUND CHECK APPLICATION
All NEW coaches are required to submit their information for the Fall 2026 Season. Completion of the background check is a three-step process:
STEP 1: Click HERE to register as a volunteer by submitting your name, team name and the age group you are coaching.
STEP 2: Pay $10 cash at the HQ trailer for the background check processing & volunteer badge (to be issued upon successful passing of background check). Failure to complete STEPS 1 & 2 will result in individuals not cleared to volunteer in our league.
STEP 3: Once you have completed Steps 1 & 2, you will receive an email from First Advantage with a link to submit your personal information for the background check. You will be contacted by your Age-Level Director once you have been cleared.
